Yoga and Art with Gosha

In-person and online

What is it that Art and Yoga have in common? To me, such a question is tied to the idea of the art of living. The practice of yoga/asana is a physical movement that when done in awareness brings more freedom to the body, mind and how we feel. It is the practice of making choices, which in turn serves us in everyday life.

How we paint, practice yoga, and move through daily life is a practice that can be done with artful considerations.

I have been a painter my whole life, and after incorporating the practice of yoga to support my health, I teach what I know and learned in my 40 years of experience.

I began offering Yoga teacher training alongside my art and yoga classes a few years ago. A few of my yoga students asked me to start a Yoga Teacher Training School in order to learn my teaching style and become certified teachers. This is how the “Heart of Yoga and Art” YTT was born. My school is registered and accredited with the international organization of The Yoga Alliance. Based on their requirements my school offers certification to students who take my program. I am an E-RYT 500 and I offer 200 hours of personalized Yoga Teachers Training. The Heart of Yoga and Art is more than a school with a certificate, it is also a journey into the poetry of living.

On the following pages, you will find a list of classes that I offer, from painting and drawing to yoga and yoga teacher training. Based in NYC, I offer group and individual classes for all ages online and in person in the Tri-state area. If you are interested or have any questions at all, please contact me via the contact page.

Comments from Past Students

"I have been thinking about why I love your classes so much and finally figured it out. Your classes are a great workout and are so much fun, but what make them so special is that they are being taught by such a warm and caring person.  Honestly, whenever I am in your class I know that something special is happening"

"I met Gosha at the Equinox Club in Paramus NJ when I took my first ever yoga class. I was immediately captivated by her welcoming remarks and care for the students safety. She usually opens the class with a reflection and message that she references throughout the class. Her messages are motivating and insightful. The class has become a ritual for me and an oasis for learning, relaxing and rejuvenating my mind & body I find her classes challenging and rewarding as she allows us to grow and develop at our own pace. Gosha has a unique way about her teaching style. She seems to challenge everyone regardless of level and shows the care and professionalism I appreciate in an instructor. Her lightheartedness and soft voice does not come without a challenge."
